What, me worry? --Bush about Usama Bin Laden
What is it going to take before people really start to lose confidence in George W. Bush? His general debate performance aside, in the Third Debate Kerry confronted him with the clear and simple fact that he dropped the ball when it comes to Usama Bin Laden. The question we all need to ask isn't so much did he drop the ball, the question is why?
But here, in this short clip, CBS news did a fact check on John Kerry's assertion that Bush doesn't really seem to care anymore where Usama Bin Laden is:
[Kerry]: "This president was asked, where is Usama Bin Laden, he said, I don't know, I don't really think about him very much, I'm not that concerned."
[Bush]: "Ahh....gosh, I don't think I ever said I wasn't concerned about Usama Bin Laden, it's kinda one of those, ah, ex-ager-ations..."
On March 13, 2003, G.W. Bush is on record saying about the fugitive: "I don't know where he is, I ah, [chuckle] ah, I'll repeat what I said, I truly am not that concerned about him."
